In the theme you’re using, yes you need the Custom Design upgrade. In a few themes you can use a workaround without the upgrade. But usually the header image links to your blog front when the blog title is inside the image area. So why don’t you just use a different theme? Check this list and try the themes that support hiding the text:

Hi, thanks so much for your reply! Unfurtunatley I´ve already bought it, sometimes I act to fast obviously:) So, do you perhaps know how i can make it work.
In my CSS it looks like this (I copied it from an example from the forum) :
#header h1 a {
display:block;
height:85px;
}#header h1 {
display:none;
}I wanted to hide the title, which worked, but it doues not work to make a link out of the header image :(
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards

I have flagged this thread so our Moderators move it to the CSS Forum for you where you can get help with CSS editing. -

Just in case your aren’t aware of this when you alter a theme’s stylesheet, you only need to put in the Editor the modification/additions to the CSS, not the entire thing. Read this for more info: http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/

Ok, thanks, did´nt know that. Still need help though but it´s good to know for the next time (hopefully there won´t be a next time:)). Sorry about the duplicate, was´nt sure of how it worked. Now i know and it won´t happen again:)

Not to worry about the duplicate as our Moderators or Staff will close it or delete it. There are millions of us WordPress.com bloggers and only a couple of Volunteers help with CSS editing. That means you have to be patient while waiting for assistance.
