  I would like my social media icons to be visible on the top of the website?
  How can I make the icons appear on the top?

  Hi –

  The best way to do that is to pick a theme that displays the social menu in that way. Then you don’t need to do any customization.

  Look for the social media icons near the top of the preview and theme demos from https://wordpress.com/themes/
