Link Title Not Working
-
I am trying to add a title to a link on a page but it isn’t working. It’s just showing up as a link. Neither is the featured image showing up. These seem straightforward, what could I be doing wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to links in posts and pages?
Or are your referring to custom menu links?

Know relevant anchor text matters http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2014/05/22/relevant-anchor-text-matters/ Be aware that using click here is the worst possible choice of anchor text. The best possible choice of anchor text is the relevant keyword or keyword phrase or the title of the post.First make sure you are running one of the browser versions found here > http://browsehappy.com or upgrade to one of them.
Then consult the guide for creating links in posts and pages: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
This is the general link model:
Highlighted anchor text hereThis is the visual result – it’s not actually linked here in the forum.
Highlighted anchor text here1. Enter the relevant descriptive anchor text you want to link to first. Note that “here” is not a good choice.
2. Then use your mouse to highlight that anchor text. (If you don’t highlight the anchor text the chain icon will remain grayed out and not be useable.)
3. Next click the chain icon in the editor and proceed to create the link. -
Neither is the featured image showing up.
Consult your detailed theme description page at https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/kelly/
Know that you can add a Featured Image to your posts. https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image -
Lastly, you will want to be clear on the differences between posts and pages and between post based blogs and page based sites. if you want traffic then you will not create a static front page and you will not create a page based site.
A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.
What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.
Any WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based – no upgrade required. For greater clarity read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/

What is described here is exactly what I did several times but it is not working. The link is showing up and it is clickable but it is not using the title that I have repeatedly inserted. I am updating and viewing immediately. Same with featured image for that page. I tried in visual, I’ll try in HTML.
