Link to a page on my website
-
I’m posting a story on the Care2 News Network. I have to put in the URL to my story. The story is a bullfight article on a page of my website. I copy and paste the URL on the top of the page, but it doesn’t take one to the page, it takes one to the general website. How do I link to the specific page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Have you taken a look at this support document to see if it covers the question you have?

Hope that’s helpful!

Dear Mariah,
I know how to create a link. I’m trying to direct people to a page of my website concerning bullfighting. The URL at the top of the page is:- https://wordpress.com/stats/insights/catholicactionforanimals.wordpress.com But this does not take people to the page. I’m sure that there is a good reason for this, but I don’t know how to make the page viewable. I hope you can help.
Sincerely, Virginia Bell -
The URL you shared (https://wordpress.com/stats/insights/catholicactionforanimals.wordpress.com) will not take me to the intended page because it’ll direct me back to “my” WordPress stats page.
To share the right link to the page, just open that page and copy the link in the address bar. If you’ve done it this way, then this page(link) isn’t going to be the same for someone else. It’s going to look different for them :)

The link to that specific bullfighting article is:
https://catholicactionforanimals.wordpress.com/the-corrida-2/
We’re agreed on bullfighting,

So that you can do this in the future:
1) I went to your page:
https://catholicactionforanimals.wordpress.com/2) Hovered the mouse over Articles and clicked on Bullfighting
3) Copied the address that appears in the address bar. Picture for you with the address bar highlighted.
https://cloudup.com/cz_jXcu8_d8OR, you could do it this way:
1) Go to your All Posts page in your Dashboard:
https://catholicactionforanimals.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php2) Find the post and click on its title
3) At the top of the page, you’ll see the Permalink to the site:
https://cloudup.com/ctmEcDbNaLgYou can right click this link and choose ‘Copy Link Address’ or whatever the similar command is and then Paste this wherever it needs to go.
3b) If you need a shorter link, you can click on the Get Shortlink button. A box will pop up with, you guessed it, a much shorter link for you to Copy and Paste.
Virginia Bell’s a great name,
Jason -
