    Hi,

What plugin are you referring to? And do you have the Business Plan on the site, allowing you to install plugins?

    It is not a plug-in.
I am referring to call to action. The process where you highlight a word or phrase and apply a link to it to use as a Link to an other site or product. The word or phrase affected link will then turn blue so that you will know that when you click on it, it will refer to something that the article is report on.

What do I do with the HTML?
I am not a programmer but if explained how to use it I may be able to make it work if it is, en fact, what I am looking for.

    Hi,

The process where you highlight a word or phrase and apply a link to it to use as a Link to an other site or product.

This describes a regular text link, not what WordPress.com refers to as a call-to-action button. How to create a text link is described and illustrated in the Links support page.

The basic HTML code of a text link is
    <a href="link URL">link text</a>

    re: Call-to-Action Buttons:
See the Button Block support page.

What do I do with the HTML?

If you use the Link icon in the editor toolbar to create the link, Method 1 as described in the Links support page, or Method 2 described there, then you don’t need to deal with the HTML at all.
