Link to existing content& Catergories & Tags

    Hi all ,

    I wonder if anyone can help me with a few problems I am having with the admin/editing options on my website/blog which is

    I am running the free theme Twenty thirteen and until recently this was working fine . Then I assume there was an update and since then I have two main problems that are making my daily posy hard to put together.

    1) The Link to existing content options seems to have disappeared and no longer seems available when I go to the “inserts/Edit link

    This is really annoying as I cross link to a lot of different content on my site/blog and previously when this option was working I got a drop down box and it was so simple to link to existing content.

    Has anyone else came across this issue and more importantly does any one know how to fix it or indeed if it is possible to fix this.

    2) Tags & Categories

    I add a lot of tags and categories to my posts and previously (before the update I think took place) this was a simple task of just moving the cursor over to the left hand side of the post I was working on and selecting/added tags & categories as I went along.

    Now if I am doing a long post the left hand side of the page with the tag/categories/feature picture options ect stays static and the right hand side of the page ( the post I am working on) scrolls down and when I have to add catorgies/tags/feature images ect I have to scroll all the way up to the top of the page , where these options now are..

    Also, when I select categories from the dropdown box these do not show up in the post and they are listed as uncategorised .

    I hope that all made sense and someone out there can help me sort out these issues. I am assuming these changes took place when my theme/wordpress done an auto update , but I don’t really like the new layout/options and I would love to sort out the two issues I have listed above.

    Many bloggers have had issues re: the ongoing changes https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2015/11/16/new-high-speed-editor/ However, as this thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/editor-feedback?replies=578 is 578 posts in length and as the irrelevant sidebar tags are an abomination that do not help when it comes to finding solutions I no longer tell bloggers to post there.

    When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. (I have done that for you.)
