link to local file

  Hello.
  I am setting up a private intranet for my firm using wordpress.com.
  We need to be able to add links to our own local server, linking both to folders and files, in posts and pages.
  However when I try adding the link in the post editor, using the format:
  file://///SERVER/folder/file.extension
  (I’ve added the extra slashes as recommended in other forums)
  wordpress changes it automatically by deleting the ‘file:///’, as soon as I save the post to publish. And so the link does not work.
  How can I stop WordPress.com from doing this?
