Link to my blog is not working

I have setup to use my own domain at WordPress, I have went to my domain management page and changed the servers to those recommended by WordPress. Now the link is not working at all, My browser is telling me I have to many redirects for this page. I did set up a cname to point to my blog but have since deleted this, either way with or without this its the same. I keep getting forwarded to the Smug mug domains page as well.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Three steps are required
1) – point name servers to WordPress.COM – at your registrar
2) – upgrade and do domain mapping on your WordPress.COM blog
3) – wait for the changes to migrate around the world – can take up to 24 to 72 hours for things to settle down -
Thanks for your reply but I’ve still not got it working. I have tried changing the name servers to those recommended by word press. and I put in the cname box in my domain manager the first time “lawrence40.wordpress,com” and the next time “wordpress.com” neither of these work, Even now when in the word press dashboard if I make my lawrence 40 domain the default I still get taken to smug mug

It takes up to 72 hours to settle down. Set things up the way you want and then wait at least overnight.

It doesn’t look like you’ve purchased it yet. Did you purchase the domain?If so, from whom?

You don’t mess with the CNAME, wordpress.com is the wrong name server etc.
