Link to newsletter in paper.li

    I’m trying to link a newsletter our company is creating in paper.li http://paper.li/Stevens12Chris/1387375494

    to our blog page located at http://cdss-llc.com/blog/
    so that it appears under the header picture like it looks on the paper.li site.

    Since the paper.li newsletter changes often, it would be nice to see the header information in our blog. I know how to hyperlink but was looking for a more professional look with the header of the newsletter and the current date

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately, to accomplish that you would need a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site, as it would require using custom code or plugins that we do not allow, due to security and stability concerns.

    This is the tradeoff we make in order to keep the millions of sites we host running at top speed with virtually no downtime.

    For plugins or custom code, you’ll need to use your own hosting provider and install the free WordPress software at WordPress.org. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Convenience aside, embedding content like this would do nothing for your ranking with search engines, as they would see your site as having “no content” essentially, and would not leverage features like the Reader.

    I would definitely recommend blogging your own original content here, and then feeding it into your paper.li page, along with the feeds you display currently. That would actually help drive traffic to your site, instead of vice-versa.

    Okay, I’ve heard the self hosted comment twice now. How do I go about doing that.

    Thanks for the tip on blogging from this site into paper.li page. Will take that up with my partners.
