Link to non existing page/post
-
Hello,
I have created a first post here https://awvorst.wordpress.com/2014/12/21/best-helping-hand/
Below the share buttons I see a link to “test1” which links to https://awvorst.wordpress.com/?p=7
I cannot find that page/post. How can I remove that link?
Thank you,
GuusThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh I see the link has disappeared now. I didn’t do anything. Is this some kind of a scheduled purge of deleted posts?

Hiya August,
We don’t have any automated or scheduled post deletion (except for trashed posts, but trashed posts wouldn’t be visible on your site). But speaking of trashed posts, I did just take a look in your site’s trash, and I see a post which was recently deleted called “test1.” Could that be the post which you’re referring to? A post which may have been deleted at some point after you wrote in?

Hi, I indeed did created that “test1” post as first post. I’m sure I trashed it before my question as I couldn’t find it anymore and was wondering if thrashed posts are not immediately purged from the system.
Anyway it’s gone now so all is alright. -
That is VERY strange! Now I know what I’m going to be doing later today . . . trying to replicate that behavior.
Thanks so much for letting me know. It’s a weird little thing and I’m sure it doesn’t matter to 99% of people, but if it is happening we always want to know!
Thanks again.

Hi, I also could click that link which was redirected to an “oops.. page does not exist” kind of message (not sure what the exact message was) so the “test1” post was already trashed.
I did change to different templates multiple times. Not sure if this could be the cause.
