Link to outside ecommerce site

One of my sites (basic plan) is for a nonprofit which would like to start accepting donations on line. I know that an upgrade to Premium allows for ecommerce, but the cost is prohibitive and our “commerce” is a very simple process: donating money. Is it possible to simply add a link to an outside provider who processes donations?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
The easiest way to do this without upgrade your site would be to add a Paypal button to your site following the instructions here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
Would that work? Then customers could donate directly through PayPal.
Just a note of clarification, the e-commerce options are only available through the Business Bundle, not the Premium bundle:

OK. We are going to try the 2-week trial on the business plan. Can the site stay essentially as it is (that is, no work on my end) with this change? That is of course with the exception of adding the ecommerce page. I’m assuming that adding ecommerce has been made smooth and simple by wordpress……
(Right now our site is hosted at GoDaddy. The bus. plan includes hosting, yes?)

Awesome!

Yep! When you flip your site to Business, you won’t notice any major changes to how your site appears right off the bat. It will just give you access to some additional functionality.

We think so! Instructions can be found here:

Yep! The Business plan includes a domain credit so you can map a domain to WordPress.com or register a new one.
