Link to uploaded pdf does not work

  When I upload a pdf and then click “insert into post”, only the file name appears in the post but it can’t be clicked on. Help! Thanks.

  This has been answered repeatedly since the coming of 2.7. You have to click “File URL” before inserting. (And that’s applies to the first time only: the uploader will then remember your preference.)

  Or if you choose “none” or “post url” for some reason, then it will remember that choice. Then you’ll have to choose “file url” again when you want an image in your post.

  Yes – it will always remember the last choice you made.

  hi.

  is the info provided below applies only to upgraded blog? the only thing that appears on my page is the title/filename, and i cant open the pdf file.
