In the first line of my post, I made a link to Wikipedia, yet when I publish that post, everything else is ok but the link to Wikipedia is non-existent. It doesn’t even show up as a link. It appears like regular text. What’s up? (Or down?)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Sorry for the duplicate post.
I forgot to add that the words in that post that do not show up as being linked are:
    Cloward-Pivens.

The link appears when you view the individual blog post, just not as part of the preview. It seems that the theme strips out HTML tags in the front page preview.

Oh, I see now. Ok, problem solved. :-) Thank you, hallluke.

It also strips out paragraph breaks on the main page, so if you have a short opening paragraph, the second paragraph will start right at the end of the first paragraph (no break or blank line).

Sacredpath…. this is something that I have noticed and have not liked, unfortunately. I like the look of the information/text visually clean and clear.

Next question for you: In reading all about Inuit Types, I read somewhere but cannot recall where that if one switches themes from Inuit Types, one will lose… I think it said “all the thumbnails.” Am I remembering correctly? If so, then what else, if anything would be lost aside from all the little thumbnails?

I did more reading this afternoon and want to try out 2010.

Well, I decided to just do it, so I switched to 2010, for the reason that you stated above about losing the paragraph breaks on the main page, but also for readability. Readability is prime, and this new sidebar is more legible, and the posts’ text font is larger.

I think I also like more of the article showing.

One reason I like the Inuit Types theme is exactly because it does strip links from the front page excerpts. I’m aware that some search engines stop when they reach 100 – 115 links on any page. And as my front page was “link heavy” I’m delighted we finally have a theme that addresses that issue so effectively.

Also I like the fact the Inuit Types has a “live” excerpt box so I can choose exactly which text I wish to place in the excerpt on the front page, if I want to over-ride the beginning of posts being displayed which is what the coding in the theme automatically provides.

As a visually challenged person (bona fide by physicians) I don’t have any difficulty at all with the readability either in the posts or in the sidebars in the Inuit Types theme.

Best wishes with Twenty Ten. As you have tried it previously I’m sure that you won’t have any problems with it at all. It does have a large font size and some will find that easier to read. However, do note that any of us can increase the font size on any web page in our browsers very quickly and easily.
