link url faulty

  Anyone help me solve my link url issues? Under the view option, my link/insert button is not active, won’t let me press it. When under HTML, I can use the link button, but it links the url to different areas on my blog, not the one in which I insert it. I need help!

  I’m sorry but the reality is that one cannot expect to receive hep when they do not post the link to the blog in question. We need the complete and clickable link to your blog starting with http:// in order to provide correct answer.

  Based entirely on speculation as I don’t know if you are actually referring to a free blog being free hosted by wordpress.COM and not a wordpress.ORG install > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ here are some troubleshooting techniques you can try.>

  1. Dashboard > Users > Personal Settings > Look for this and make sure you have enabled the Visual Editor on your blog:

  ___ Disable the visual editor when writing
  After you are sure it has been enabled scroll down and click “save Changes”.

  2. Some issues that you encounter with your WordPress.com blog or account can be solved by changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies.   3. Some issues can be resolved by using another browser? If you haven’t tried another one then I suggest that you do.

  4. Some issues can be caused by not updating your Flash. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.

  The link icon in the visual editor is not active until you highlight some text in the edit area. Are you selecting text before trying to click the link icon?
