Link URL problem

I had been using sticky post images along the top of my site. Each image had a link URL and was working fine.
The links suddenly stopped working. They now just link to the location of the image in my media file.Links on images in the post themselves seem to work fine.
I looked to the forum for clues and discovered my problem started the same time as the permalink problem. Im not sure what the difference is between a permalink and a link url but I was asked to start a new thread.
Ive taken the sticky posts down but that feature was the whole reason I selected the template Min Theme.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
