Link widget issue

    I’m trying to set up a “Blogroll” on my main page for everyone to see. I’ve entered all the links I have at the moment and yes even remembered to add the “links” widget. Even so the links are not showing up on the main page. I get the message “There are no options for this widget” when I click on the links widget, after adding it to the list of other widgets that do show up on the main page.

    There is probably one small step I overlooked and that is hopefully where you come in. What have I overlooked or is it the “theme” that doesn’t support this particular widget?? If the issue is the particular theme I’ve picked then please advise me as to which them/s can be personalized and that will also support the “Links” widget.

    Thanks so much, ahead of time, for your help!! You guys are phenomenal!!!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Ignore my first question about the blogroll showing up on the main page in the sidebar. Don’t know what happened but it is there now.

    What I would like to know now is whether it would be best to leave the blogroll as if (every link showing) or would a drop down menu be better?? How would I change this if the drop down menu would be best??

    Sometimes I even surprise myself!! :) :) :)

    I can see your blogroll. It has the following category titles, each with links listed below:
    Blogroll
    Government
    Hair Care
    Makeup and Skin Care
    News
    Politics

    All themes (except monotone) support widgets, though some themes don’t display them all the time.

    It is odd that MistyLook says that there are no options for the links widget! I tried a few other themes (by no means all of them!), and they allow for options as described here:

    Ok, I’m glad you can see your blogroll. Should have refreshed before submitting comment: I was busily testing different themes because it surprises me that MistyLook doesn’t allow for options on the links widget! Strange quirk, that.

    It doesn’t appear that you can make your blogroll into a drop down menu.

    Sorry, re-reading that I think it’s not clear:
    blogrolls on any theme don’t have an option for a drop down menu.

    @flosplace MistyLook doesn’t have the link widget options I’m afraid, yoav is looking into perhaps introducing them.

    Thank you both for your further comments.

    1tess, you’re right, refreshing the screen would have been a good idea in that case. Will try to remember this next time.

    hanni, yes, the option of a drop down menu would be a nice feature. For now though, could someone add a comment under the “blogroll”, “links”, and “categories” instructions to the effect that for now there is no drop down option. This would be most helpful.

    @Hanni
    I’d like to suggest that the support documentation have a notation to alert bloggers to the fact that the Links widget in the Misty Look theme lacks the configuration options that are available in the other themes.

    @flosplace
    Below are the missing options from the Links widget in the Misty Look theme that are available on the other themes. Please take note that a drop down display option is not among them.
