Link Widget placement in sidebar

I’m assuming this is not possible, but trying anyway to see if there’s a work around or suggestion.

I know that if I place my link widget in my side bar at certain location then all the links I am managing under different categories would show up one after another at the same location in the side bar. For example, if I have different links under Category A, Category B and Category C, the link widget would show them one after another and next to each other.

What I would want to see is if I can first place links from Category A then a different widget altogether, then Category B, then different widget altogether and then Category C, so on and so forth.

    Is this possible some how?

I know above is achievable if I use a Text widget instead (because I can use multiple text widgets and I can place them wherever I want), but I’d like to avoid using text widget if possible.

    Thanks.

A text widget is the only way to do it I’m afraid.

Thanks for the reply, I thought I try anyway.

BTW, is the option to hide the links not there anymore?

Under Manage – Links, Visible column, I have few links showing No (as in, Visible no) and some visible Yes. Now, I can’t seem to find an option to change the links from visible Yes to visible No. The only option I see is turn links Private which doesn’t appear to be the same thing.

You now make it invisible by marking the “Keep this link private” box on the right in the edit screen.
