Link within Widget

  One widget I would really like to see available on wordpress.com is “link within”. Is there any way this could ever be possible?

  Would you please describe what you mean by that, like is it a widget with a link in it?

  No it is Related Posts with thumbnails,
  http://www.linkwithin.com/learn

  Since it only contains links within the blog itself, I can’t understand why such a widget (or plug-in) would be a security risk. Just wondering!

  Also, I would like to thank all the WordPress workers for the great work they do & the very, very prompt responses they give to calls for help! Thanks for a great service!

  They require a plugin unfortunately.

  We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. You can find out more about this topic here: http://support.wordpress.com/plugins/

  However, we are working on a Related Posts system.

  Thank you for your prompt reply, you guys are great!
  So glad to hear that you are working on a Related Posts system. I love that type of feature! I had noticed that one comes across in my wordpress Reader and that’s what made me wonder why it couldn’t be available on .com sites.
  I knew that plugin could be used on .org sites, but I would really miss the community feeling of the .com blogging and so didn’t want to switch.
