  I would like to link smanohars0308.wordpress.com to my custom domain on name cheap. Can you help me on how to expedite this.

  You should be able to use the domain here at WordPress.com by upgrading to a WordPress.com plan on your site (Personal, Premium, Business, or eCommerce.) then add domain mapping to use your domain here.
