Linkable Text Widget not appearing in Single Column Twenty Ten?

    Back again!

    Bit of a funny one, not sure if it’s just my ineptness or a bug. I’ve made my header image link back to my home page via a rectangle text widget using:

    <div align="center" style="width:100%;top:53px;left:-289px;position:absolute;z-index:11;">
    <a href="http://aboutthemen.wordpress.com">
    <div style="width:700px;height:65px;">
</div></a>
    </div>

    It works fine, except for one page – my ‘Book Cover’ page. I can only think this is related to the fact the template for this one page is set to ‘One column, no sidebar’. But why should that prevent the widget appearing?

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,

    Actually, I’m not sure I really like this method. Although it works in Chrome ok, when I view in IE you get a little red hyphen appearing when you hover over the header…

    Back to the drawing board!
