Linkbacks appearing in Comments section

    I have been making a concerted effort to increase conversation on my website by monitoring comments, answering questions when I can, etc. When I see a comment, I am thrilled. But it’s short lived when I discover, it’s just an automatic linkback to someone
    else’s product information, cause, et. al.

    This is not catastrophic, but it is annoying since I end up deleting what I initially believed to have been a legitimate comment. I realize Spam is all too clever, but is there anyway to roll these over to Akismet rather than Comments?

    Mark them as spam and Akismet will learn. And, if you don’t want trackbacks to appear on your posts, turn them off.

    Please don’t mark valid trackbacks as spam, that just messes up the Akismet filters.

    If it’s valid, then just delete it. If it’s really spam, then just click the SPAM. And like Vivian mentioned, you can turn that off to block most valid tracebacks.
