Linkbacks to my SNAP posts
-
Linkbacks. Totally new to this concept, but I would like to know when people link to or refer to my blog’s posts. Are linkbacks and pingbacks supported by SNAP?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy,
Can you give me a little bit more information what SNAP is referring to? Pingbacks/trackbacks are an accepted form throughout the Internet that works by the originating server sending notice to WordPress.com when one of the sites on our servers are referenced.
In addition, you can sign up for Google Alerts. They will notify you whenever a site on the Internet that they have crawled references the words you’ve indicated: http://www.google.com/alerts
Cheers!

You can tell I’m a newbie ’cause I’m just learning that linkback isn’t quite the same thing as backlink! – SNAP is our theme. Is there an add-on that will allow me to track pingbacks, like when I comment on someone’s blog with a link to mine, or when our blog gets mentioned elsewhere and actually generates click-through action?

Ah, I’m on the same page now! Yes, you can track actual pingbacks on this page: https://gourmetmushrooms.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php
They will display with other comments, but you can tell them apart with the […] references and they will appear like comments on the post’s page (see the bottom of http://gourmetmushrooms.wordpress.com/2013/07/15/you-are-what-you-eat/ )
As far as tracking click-throughs, you can reference your stats at https://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/ . The Referrers are the sites that have sent you traffic. This isn’t always a 100% based on a number of factors (true for any system that tries to track these things), but it’ll pick up the vast majority.
Hope that helps and please let me know if you have any questions.
