Linked articles from home page to article instead of to news section?

  When I go to edit the news headlines that appear under the “News & Events” section of my website, I have the option to make it “active” (which, of course I want to do) and also to “Display on Home Page” which I’d also like to do. Unfortunately, when I elect to display on my home page, the title of the article is a hyperlink. When I click on that link, it does not take me to that specific news article. Instead, it takes me to the most current annual section of my news:

  I have an article posted from early 2011 on my home page. When I click on the link, it goes to the 2012 News & Events section. What I want is to click on the link and it takes me to the article (from the home page). Is this possible?

  Your news and events page is not running on WordPress, but is part of your own website at http://www.softwareequity.com/latest-news.aspx
  You should contact your web developers for assistance.
