Linked in Authorisation

    Why does wordpress need this information? (below) What has any of it got to do with my wordpress account? Do they really need my picture and current positions etc for me to post on a blog? Or is this data-harvesting? or bullyboy tactics? (since they won’t post to linkedin unless I allow access to my personal info)

    Any input appreciated, cos I really don’t understand why wordpress need unrelated data before I’m allowed to post.

    WordPress would like to access some of your LinkedIn info:
    YOUR PROFILE OVERVIEW
    Name, photo, headline, and current positions
    NETWORK UPDATES
    Retrieve and post updates to LinkedIn as you
