Social Links
With Sela, you have the option to display links to your social media profiles in the footer, just above the website credits. To display them, set up a Social Links Menu.http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/social-links-menu/

Hi there,
I see you created a new menu for your site called “social” and set it as the social menu in your theme. Now, you can add custom links to that menu to make them appear in your site’s footer.
For example, you can create a custom link to your LinkedIn page and it will appear as a LinkedIn icon. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

I would love to have exactly that – a Linkedin icon on the footer panel. How do I add a custom link? Cannot seem to figure this out. Thanks

Did you consult the detailed theme description page with set up instructions at https://wordpress.com/themes/sela/ scroll down to “social links”?

Yes, many times. I do not see any option to add a custom link as outlined
“Add the address for each social profile to your menu as a custom link. For example, http://twitter.com/wordpressdotcom is WordPress.com’s Twitter link”.

Hi there,
You can create custom links by editing your site’s “social” menu on the Menus page in your dashboard. You can click the “+” icon to add a new menu item, choose where you want to add that menu item, and then choose “Link” to add a custom link. There, you can add the link address for your custom link (the link to your LinkedIn page).
We also have a guide for setting up Custom Menus with more details about how to edit your site’s menus there. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
