Linkedin / blog connected posts query
-
dear all
hope you can help. So building a wordpress website and still work in progress so not.live yet. I wanted to link to my linkedin page (I connected ok) and so I copied and pasted over multiple posts into the blog for the website (yes I made them published but as website is in progress assumed this won’t exist officially yet).
now on my linkedin posts it has link to the blog which you can open and edit my website pages which is worrying…
it also deleted any posts not copied over which is even more disturbing….
I have disconnected the website and linkedin now but the website blog link still remains on my linkedin site posts
so how can I remove link to website in linkedin posts?
can I get back posts missing from linkedin?
how can I protect my work in progress website site from anyone access my linkedin in posts….
many thanks in advance and any help greatly appreciated
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Can you provide the URL of one of the links you posted on your LinkedIn page?
I’m guessing one of two things may have happened. Either you are posting a URL to the edit page of one of your posts (not the actual post), or you are posting the actual post URL, but as an admin you are seeing things that other viewers of the post will not see.
Either way, I don’t think you should worry about it being a security issue, but we would love to confirm what you were seeing to make sure. Users will not be able to edit your posts unless they have the login credentials to your site. They will see something entirely different than what you’re seeing as the logged-in owner.so how can I remove link to website in linkedin posts?
I am too familiar with Linkedin posts, but have you tried editing the post?

Hi there,
I would like you to try opening that LinkedIn link in an incognito window. My suspicion is that you are seeing content on the page that only you would see since you’re the admin. If a viewer were to click that link, they should not see the same thing – but to confirm, click on the link while either logged out or while incognito. Then, you’ll be able to see what the visitor of the site would see.
Feel free to provide a screenshot for us to see what you see.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you! -
thanks for your advice…. I’ve had to rush the site through for now and make it live as I couldn’t keep the linkedin group shut down for another week….. Linked it back now so the blog posts go to my linkedin account and seems to be working….. Now I just need to solve the other issues like change title of the pages in the URL to be correct (one says ….trash5…..for some reason)….. !!!

Hi,
You can fix and rename the permalinks of your pages by following this:A permalink (i.e., permanent link) is the URL of your page, blog post, and other content on your site. Use the permalink to share a link to your content on social media, in an email, or anywhere else online. This guide will explain how to find and change your site’s permalinks. About Permalinks This is an example of a permalink for a page: https://yourgroovydomain.com/my-page This iBy the way, having a custom email can increase your professional presence as well as improve email deliverability to potential clients.
If you decide you need an email for your domain, I just wanted to make sure you’re aware that we offer a Professional Email service: https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/adding-titan-email-to-your-site/ It is more affordable than Google, plus it comes with 3 months for free :)
Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to let us know!

Thanks!
