linkedin image doesn't appear ("modlook")
-
Hi i have a strange problem. Tried to solve it many ways but I don’t have a clue of what can i do.
In my linked in webpage i have linked my webpage and i wanted it to have a image look (like a preview of the webpage). Well i solved this problem, and now there is actually a picture. But the problem now is that the picture which i have as a preview, is a random picture of one of my posts. I already chose a “blavatar” image for my webpage but nothing change. Actually it change for a few hours but finally it went to the old same random picture.
I sent an inquiry to linkedin and they told me they used a OGP protocol. I don’t have a clue of what is this but i guess its something worth to look and the key for solving my problems.
I started this thread: http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/linkedin-webpage-image?replies=10#post-59220 ,maybe you can follow up with this.
Waiting for your answer
Thank you very much

Please read these tips http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#images-in-publicize
We have no control over the images that LinkedIn, Facebook or any social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

P.S. I just want to add that your issue is not unique and that I’m not clear why a modlook tag is required.

the mod look tag is put down because they recommend me to put it on from the spanish support forum…..
OK thanks for helping me… So my only solution is to wait or to request from linkedin the update of the image.
Anyway from linkedin they ask me about the OGP protocol. Which something about the wordpress webpage not a problem from linkedin caches. Can i modify this somewhere?or i just can only wait?
