LinkedIn marked as spam
-
I accidentally marked Linkedin as a Spam Referral on my new site, and it is not spam. I would like to see those stats. Can you possibly remove Linkedin from from my spam referrers list? This is for “Hire Carol” at http://carolzarker.wordpress.com. Thank you. :-)

Hi there,
I spit this post from the original thread as the topic is slightly different.
LinkedIn does not appear to be blocked on our end. If you don’t see the site’s referral list let us know.

hi,
I have tagged modlook for a Staff to help you with this.
Thank you for your patience while they get back to you ; ) -

Thanks, Kosiew, I “split” this post from another thread so was already on the case, but appreciate your help!

Hello, Well there is a discrepancy in stats: LinkedIn shows 39 views of my post – which is a link to my WordPress portfolio page at https://carolzarker.wordpress.com/myportfolio/ – however, my WordPress site statistics only show 2 views since I placed the LinkedIn post (and zero views today on WordPress stats, although LinkedIn views doubled since yesterday). So something is off there – it would seem as though visits to my WordPress site portfolio page are not being recorded, since my LinkedIn post is a link to my Portfolio page. Please advise. Thank you.

FYI, in reference to my most recent post above at 3:33 pm on July 27, since I do not see a way to attach a screen shot image, here is a link to my LinkedIn post (which is a link to my WordPress portfolio page): https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6427588827321286656
On the LinkedIn post, it shows the current number of views as 40. Please bear in mind that my LinkedIn post is just a link to my WordPress portfolio page (as you can see if you look at the LinkedIn post). However, my WordPress stats show only 2 views since I posted this item earlier this week and 0 today with no referrers. The WordPress stats do not reflect the LinkedIn page views. Thanks for looking into this. -
Hi
On the LinkedIn post, it shows the current number of views as 40. Please bear in mind that my LinkedIn post is just a link to my WordPress portfolio page
Just to confirm, are you seeing the 40 views on this page?
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6427588827321286656
I can’t see that information so I just want to double check that is where you are looking.

Yes, that link is correct. You need to be logged into LinkedIn to view the post. If you first log into your very own LinkedIn account, you should then be able to view my post at https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6427588827321286656 – if not, you might need to be a LinkedIn Connection to view it. Apologies, but I do not see a way to paste in an image screen shot here to this forum post so you can see what I see, which is that now shows my LinkedIn post displays 49 views, while the WordPress stats for my Portfolio page show only 3 views. Something is off, since my LinkedIn post is simply a link to my WordPress Portfolio page at https://carolzarker.wordpress.com/myportfolio/

If the LinkedIn post URL still gives you trouble accessing it, if you view my LinkedIn profile at https://www.linkedin.com/in/carolzarker/ and then navigate to my most recent activity, shares and posts, it is the top one listed there https://www.linkedin.com/in/carolzarker/detail/recent-activity/shares/

Thanks for clarifying. The 40 views you are seeing on LinkedIn’s activity feed are for the update there rather than the portfolio page itself. LinkedIn count a view when an update is loaded on someone’s screen — your connections don’t need to click through to WordPress.com for a view to be counted.
The LinkedIn referrals on your WordPress.com Stats page are for people who have clicked through onto the actual post, which is why there is a difference between the two.
I do not see a way to paste in an image screen shot here to this forum post so you can see what I see
That’s okay, a screenshot can be uploaded to your Media Library instead.
