Linking
-
Hey, I’m new and I’m a little lost in some of the jargon and have a stupid question (there’s no stupid questions, just stupid people)..
when I’m composing an entry and if I want to link to a different site by having a word or phrase linked, how do I go about doing that?
Thanks for the help….

Greets:
It’s just basic HTML:
<a href="The URL of the page that you are linking to">The text for the link</a>Hope this helps,

“(there’s no stupid questions, just stupid people)..”
Nope.
A question is only difficult if you don’t know the answer.
We all have answers – just not to all the questions :) -
If you’re using the RichText Editor, select the text that you wanna have the link, find the “Insert/edit link” button in your editor’s bar (must looks like a chain piece), click it, then will popup a frame where you can insert the desired link. Press “Insert” and all done. Good Luck.

if you’re new, you might want to learn more about html so you can optimise your blogging experience. you can search at http://faq.wordpress.com to learn how to use those buttons in your writing editor, or search the net to learn html. i started off that way too.
