This doesn’t appear to be exactly what you’re looking for, but here’s a widget that can display recent posts from a different WP blog: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/display-wordpress-posts/
I’m curious to see if there’s a better solution. I’ll keep researching and update if I find anything else.

The first thing we do prior to answering any thread is to determine what the URL(s) are. That’s so we can check where the sites(s) in question are hosted and to do that we need the URLs, right? We must avoid confusing blogger when it comes to the differences between wordpress.COM hosted sites and wordpress.ORG installs, because our support docs do not apply to the latter and there are separate support forums.
Note http://www.islandtravelspecialists.com/ is linked to the username and what the blogger posted is vague.
islandtravelspecialists.com is hosted by GoDaddy.com
WHOIS: Click Here
IP Address: 72.167.191.69
Name Servers:
ns46.domaincontrol.com
ns45.domaincontrol.comAs you can see that’s a site that’s not hosted by wordpress.COM we do not provide support for here at WordPress.COM.
islandken is most likely posting to the wrong support forum but as what he posted is vague, you need to get him to clearly expresss which URLs are referred to where they are hosted, and exactly what his end goal is.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If islandkens ise referring to wordpress.ORG software installs on his own server or on paid hosting, and if he does not have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then he must click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so he can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Please understand that I have been here nearly 10 years and hate tailgating the threads of new Staff wannbes and new Volunteers and making corrections or additions. I’m visually challenged and I’m multitasking from my business. I prefer to type wrong answer and modlook for into the sidebar tags for Staff to assist.

There’s something else that may also come into play and that is Jetpack support in the event this blogger wants to add wordpress.ORG sites to the My Sites page on his wordpress.COM account and manage them from there.Jetpack is a plugin used by WordPress.ORG bloggers to achieve parity with what we already have built into WordPress.COM blogs, and we do not provide Jetpack support on these wordpress.COM support forums. Please direct Jetpack issues to where they can get Jetpack support.
re: Jetpack support
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
