linking a gallery photo to a page or post

  When a visitor to my blog clicks on a gallery image in my “dessert” or “savory” food galleries I want them to be taken to a page or post with the recipe (or blog post if i have one). I can’t figure out how to do this. Currently when you click a photo you are taken to a slideshow of the photos in the gallery or a larger image of the image. I would really like guest to be able to interact with this to find recipes they would like to try.

  Hi there,

  In a gallery you cannot actually link each image to a different page. They can only be linked as you described. With that said, if you place your images individually, then those images can be linked directly to other URLs.

  To do so, you can edit the page which has the image placed on it and then click on the image. You’ll see two icons appear in the upper left hand corner of the image, one that looks like a post card and one that looks like the international no symbol. Click on the post card icon and you’ll see the settings for that image. There, you’ll be able to change the URL that the image goes to when clicked on. Click update and then update your post and it will work! :)
