Linking a page created in html into my blog

I am having trouble linking a page that I created with html into the links section of my blog. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem. Thanks!!!!!!!!

What is the link to your wordpress.COM blog? It helps the volunteers here in the forum if you link your username to your wordpress.COM blog as outlined in this: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-to-make-your-name-link-to-your-blog?replies=54

Since you have it set to private, I cannot take a look and therefore can’t really hazard a guess to what is wrong.
Go to manage links, and edit the link and make sure the link shown is correct.
Is the html page you are referencing also somehow set to private wherever you have it hosted?

I changed the setting so it is not private anymore. And I put the link in as is, but I dont know if I did it right?

You cannot have spaces in web addresses, and without the spaces, my browser indicates that web address does not exist.
Where exactly is that page?

http:// is the protocol. That’s great. Unfortunately, it goes straight on to a html file. the bit after the http:// should be either a domain (e.g. example.com, example.org) or an IP adress (e.g. 127.0.0.1). So the full adress should be somthing like http://www.example.com/index.html.

I tried it and it is still not working, do I have to put the page over at where I have registered my domain name?

Ok I will have to try using wordpress software that I can download to a web server. HOpefully I will have better luck. Thanks for all your help!!!!!!!!!!!
