Linking an existing domain

  Hi guys,

  So my work have given me the job of redesigning the companies website. They won’t allow me full access until I have done the lessons which is fair enough. I was wondering if I can set up a new site using the existing domain without deleting the existing site. Then I can build the new site without affecting the existing and I’m hoping I can essentially then flick a switch and we can swap to the new one without any glitches and if I can do this from a separate WordPress account.

  Is that doable? Or would I need to just practice on a separate site and make the changes on the existing one once they are happy I have learned enough

  It sounds like you would like to create a staging site so you can practice on it without affecting your client site.

  On the Creator plan or higher, you can create a staging site easily.

  To better assist you, could you please give us the URL of the client website you are trying to redesign and create a staging site for?
