Linking an image to another sites URL
-
I want to link an image to a site (for a blog hop) so that when you click on the image it takes you to that site. I have done it before but I cannot remember how to do it.
Thanks in advance.

If you mean an image in a post or a static page, see here:

I think last time, I did it from the widget area and the image was in the sidebar. But as I say, I can’t remember how to do it. But thank you for the link to the other page. That’s useful as well. :)

If you need it in the sidebar, you upload it via Media > Add New, click Edit once it’s uploaded, and copy the File URL.
Then you go to Appearance > Widgets, add an Image widget, paste the File URL in the Image URL field, paste the website URL in the Link URL field, save.
Or you can use code in a Text widget – see here:

To avoid problems with bad browser versions if you use an Image widget, make sure the original isn’t wider than your sidebar (in your case, maximum 250 pixels). -
