Linking and comments

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello :)

I have a query with regards to linking. When I use links in my posts (e.g. to my own posts – please see: https://urodapodrozy.wordpress.com/2018/08/29/turbacz-namiot-cz-2/) they are visible as comments below.

How do I disable this option? I am sure that solution is easy, I just could not figure it out.

    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Beata

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Shini :)

I hope you are well too. Thank you for your response. What I mean is that when I create link to another my post these links appear below my posts – where normally we can see other users’ comments. So when I add 2 links it looks as if I had 4 comments to my posts.

    Many thanks, Beata

    Hi Beata,

I am not sure but this may help you,plz do try it out.
There is a concept of Pingbacks in wordpress.com,a pingback is a special type of comment that’s created when you link to another blog post, as long as the other blog is set to accept pingbacks.

Plz read this article and follow the steps,it may help you:-

    Pingbacks

    Plz revert incase issue pesists.

    Thanks:)

    Hi Shini,

I followed the instructions and that worked for me. The issue was with self-pinging as you suggested.

Thanks a lot for your advice, it was very helpful :)

    Beata
