linking blog to profile

joined wordpress.com and created a profile and blog. recently created a new blog under the same profile and deleted the original blog. before deleting the original blog, I copied a post from that blog to the new blog. blog exist and accessible in wordpress, but when search for copied post in general google search, comes back associated with the deleted blog which is no longer accessible. why is the post not showing as associated with the new blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.

timethief, many thanks on the response. so, understanding the 3-6 month lag on google or bing cleaning out their cache of 404 page not found entries, does this mean that after that cache clean up, proper association of posts and the new blog address will come up in google and bing searches? according to the link you sent, I look to have my profile and new blog address properly linked. thanks.

You need to start posting frequently. It takes weeks for search engines to index content in a new blog and/or to re-index content under a new URL. What attracts search engines is unique content the cannot in posts that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet.
