Linking domain name to blog

I’m new to WordPress and am trying to map/attach the domain name that I bought with Bluehost to my WordPress account.
I can pick out the layout alright, then step 3 of 4 is ‘Let’s find a domain.’ There’s a button that says ‘Already own a domain?’ And I click that since I registered a domain with Bluehost. The next screen says ‘Map this domain to use it as your site’s address.’ In the text box that says ‘Enter a domain’ I type in my domain, http://www.agypsylifestyle.com.
Every single time I type in my domain in order to map it, a red error box pops up that says ‘Sorry, there was a problem processing your request. Please try again in a few minutes.’ And that has been going on for well over a half hour now.
I just want to connect my domain name with my WordPress blog. Help!

If you’re still getting the error message, add “modlook” to the tags for this thread. Doing so will alert a staff member that you need assistance with this issue.

I think modlook is already one of the tags attached to this thread, do you know if tech support is only there on weekdays?

I’m still getting the red error box that says “Sorry, there was a problem processing your request. Please try again in a few minutes.” =(

Hi there,
Can you try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and reset your modem/router and see if that makes any difference?
Otherwise, please try registering a new site without adding a domain? On the Plans step select a free plan and on the domain’s step, just select the free *.wordpress.com address.
Once the site is created, go to My Site ->Plans and add the plan you want there, and then you can add the domain at My Site ->Domains.

Hi there,
I purchased the “personal” plan for $36 for the year.
Then I clicked My Site -> Domains.
It says that my primary domain for this account is agypsylifestyle.wordpress.com.
I purchased “www.agypsylifestyle.com” through bluehost.com though.
How can I map the domain that I purchased and get rid of the “.wordpress.com” part that’s attached itself to my domain?

Oh! I think I did it, and changed “agypsylifestyle.com” to be the primary, yay!
Then Word Press said this:
“Although agypsylifestyle.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up. If you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below.”
What does this mean?

Sorry for the delay, but I see you’ve already pointed the name servers to us as well, and your domain appears to be working already, so you just need to add content to your site at this point.
