Linking for ‘Cover’ Block
-
I’ve decided to switch my CMS from Weebly to WordPress, and have started building my home page. I’m using the ‘Cover’ Block to list my case study cards, and would like to make it a link to the case study page. I’d like to request that the ‘Cover’ Block be link assignable.

Hi there,
On what site are you working?
Do you mean you want the entire cover block to be linked? If so, that is not possible. The cover block is designed as a container for other blocks, and the the only way to link from a cover block to somewhere else is to add a link via another block that is nested inside the cover block.
For example, you can add a text link via a paragraph block, an image link using an image block, or you can add a button that links somewhere using a button block.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that it isn’t possible. However, if I were to use an image block, the entire block can be a link. Whoever designed the cover block did so without the option to turn it into a link. This is an easy dev fix. I’d be curious to understand why the cover block does not have the option to link the entire feature, and why the image block (as an example) is able to be a link.
