Linking Home Page to Welcome Page
-
Hello-
On my site I have a set of pages- Home, Welcome, About, etc. In trying to make this operate like a website, I would like to link my Home page to my Welcome page. That way, if visitors are on one page and need to go back to Welcome (the current static page) they can simply click on the Home button to do so. Does wordpress.com support this? Nothing I’ve done so far seems to work.
Thank you.

Go to appearance > reading and set your welcome page as your front page.

Thanks. I did that, but when I go to my home page and click on that, it still does not link back to the Welcome page. I’m not sure what I am doing wring.

The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.
Choice 1 static front page
Choice 2 running page for all posts on front pageWhich do you choose? It’s one or the other.
If you choose a static front page then you have to create two pages as I said above. After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.
