Linking Hotmail email address to my wordpress site

    I am attempting to purchase the $48 a year Personal Acct to link to the darwinslovechild.wordpress.com address I have; however, when I attempt to fill in the email field (which should read: (email visible only to moderators and staff), I get the notification that the @ is not a valid character. As I would like to open this wordpress acct to this email address ASAP, I would appreciate having some help on how to properly fill in this hotmail acct as the linked email address I have.

    Hi! I can see you’ve already got the account set up — is this in a separate step, like the domain WHOIS info page?
