Linking image issue
-
I am trying to get an image in my post to link to another page. I followed the instructions on http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/image-links/ but when I click on the image, nothing happens.
Am I misunderstanding what “link URL” does?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Maybe you didn’t enter the link correctly? Can you post a link to the URL of the post where you are trying to setup the image link?

Oh, hang on, I see that http://currersand.wordpress.com/ is currently using the Monotone theme. That theme does some specialized stuff with images. It will take the first image in the post and feature that image, pull colors from it, and the featured images should automatically get linked to the next and previous posts (if you have any). So, you can’t really add your own links to the images featured in posts if you are using the Monotone theme.
More info. on Monotone here:

I have a blog on that theme and I’ve found you have to add the link in text below, like this:

I love the Monotone theme. Have you checked out Duotone too?! It has even more colors. :)

Yes, but that’s an independently-hosted blog and that theme, although it’s available for download, has MAJOR issues on independent installs. For instance, it will not display photos. Requires serious hacking to get it to work and I just haven’t felt like trying. I would certainly prefer it, though.

Thank you everyone! This was very helpful. I will try a few things with another theme, but I might just abandon my current attempts (because Monotone is awesome).
