Linking in html mode.

When I attempt to add a link to a post in the html section the visual box appears and not the box for html. If I enter the link it appears in the wrong order.

    Example:

If you want (highlight) tax forms ….

    Appears as…

    tax forms

Which does not form a correct link.

I am using the visual linking, which works, but I never had a problem highlighting a word and linking it in the html mode in previous Versions.

Here at WordPress.com the linking tool will load from the Visual Editor, regardless of whether you’re using the HTML or VIsual editors, this is just to make things a bit more usable.

I’ve tested on your blog and I’m able to create links as I’d expect – can you show me a post or page where you had this problem, and let me know the link text you were expecting, what you highlighted, and what actually happened? We’ll then be able to get to the bottom of this :)

After rechecking I was making an error in entering the link.

    It works fine now.

    I apologize for any inconvenience.
