Linking Instagram and contacting

Hello!
So I am LOVING This whole blogging thing and what WordPress has to offer for free! Now then I do have a question…when I look at my site I see there are icons for FB, Twitter, IG, Pinterest and LinkedIn. Are these supposed to take a viewer to those pages associated with my site if I have them? I find that if I am logged into FB from any account while I look at the blog and click the FB icon I am brought to my own personal page?I have made an IG for selfenhancesarah though, is there a way to link this so people can access it from my blog?
As well, I have a contact page and have tried sending a test message but I don’t receive anything to (email visible only to moderators and staff) which I thought I would? Is there somewhere else these messages go?

They are supposed to take people to your profile on those sites, but you first need to configure the widget. You can do that here:

Click on the Social Icons widget and add your Facebook, Twitter, etc. usernames. Save the widget, and those icons will link to your profile on those services.
I have made an IG for selfenhancesarah though, is there a way to link this so people can access it from my blog?
Aside from linking to your Instagram profile via the social media icons widget, you can also add an Instagram widget that will show your Instagram images right on your site.

Contact for messages go to your account email unless you specify a different email address, and you can also view them in the feedback section of the WP-Admin dashboard:

According to our logs your test messages were sent to your email, but they might have wound up in spam, or in the Social/Updates folders on Gmail’s end.
