Linking my domain name

Hi Guys, I already have a domain name purchased which is .com.au. Would I be able to move it to WordPress and use the platform to create a website? Your help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi,
You can transfer a domain you already own to WordPress.com and manage your site and domain all in one place, with no need to manually configure DNS records at another domain provider.
Please note: You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to transfer in a domain. Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or transfer/map one you already own.

To use that domain with a WordPress.com site you will need our domain mapping upgrade, included in all our upgrade plans.
However, it is not possible to transfer a .com.au domain to us, as we don’t support registration of that domain extension. So while you can connect it here via domain mapping, you will have to keep on renewing it annually with your current provider.
Only domains on our list of supported TLDs can be transferred to WordPress.com, provided also it’s not one of the TLDs we mention on the transfer doc that cannot be transferred.
