Linking my domain to wordpress
-
I’ve just purchased my domain on godaddy and am struggling to link it to WordPress. I can see that there’s the option to transfer the domain but does this incur any extra charges?

The first thing to decide is where you want your new domain to be hosted. You can create a site at GoDaddy using the wordPress.org software or you can create a site here at WordPress.com.
If you want to create your site here and use your new domain you’ll need to purchase a WordPress.com Personal plan or higher. It’s not possible to transfer a domain until you’ve owned it for 60 days but it could be mapped to a WordPres.com site.

Howdy Friends –
I’m following up on the Modlook tag. Thanks for chiming in here, themagicrobot. Always appreciate your help :)
Bringing your domain to WordPress.com can happen one of two ways.
1. Map it:
