linking out to word press

  Hi
  Our program is getting a new website, and we have a widget called Connect with Us. We are hoping that we can add the W icon to this widget that links out to our public wordpress page, but we are unsure how we would do that? Any ideas?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can accomplish this with a Widget, such as an Image widget with the description “Connect With Us”. My only caution is to review the WordPress trademark policy.

  If you have a specific widget in mind, or I’m not fully understanding your question, please let me know and we can work to accomplish your goal.

  Hi, @kaitwaters. I think he simply wants to set up a link to his WordPress site through some widget, with the WordPress icon.

  @womenlawsite, if thats what you want, I think you could use Social Icons Widget, and add a link to the WordPress page you want your visitors to get to. Here is a link with detailed instructions to set this plugin: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/social-media-icons-widget/

  Note that links with the wordpress.com subdomains (such as womenlawsite.wordpress.com) automatically add the WordPress icon when you set up the link in the widget.

  Hi @guicmazeredo. I am trying to link to our WordPress site through some widget, with the WordPress icon, on our university page.

  From the tutorial video on the link that you sent me, the problem might be that the new website portal does not recognize WordPress. I’ll do a bit more investigating.

  I see @womenlawsite. In this case, an Image Widget linking to the university page would be a workaround. So the links provided by @kaitwater would be a good workaround as well as her warn regarding the trademark policy. If your website meets the policy you could use Image Widget to achieve what you want.
