Linking PDFs to a post isn’t working

  I’m trying to upload a PDF to a post – which I’ve done before with no hassle – but it’s refusing. It’s uploaded to the media library fine, but when I try and insert it into the post, it inserts the title, but it’s not linked to anything, even after I publish the post.

  I have got a head full of cold though, so I might be doing something dumb.

  This has been answered repeatedly. After uploading, you need to click “File URL” before inserting the file. From then on, the uploader will remember your preference.
