Linking portfolio to new webpage

    I’ve just began my first WordPress blog and am using the Illustratr theme. I’ve got distinct static pages (about me/contact us etc), and also a portfolio of projects on one theme.

    Does anyone know how to add the portfolio (currently accessible by adding ‘portfolio’ onto the end of my URL) into its own page that I can then set as a homepage?

    The Illustratr theme has a special portfolio page template. You may assign that template to the static homepage. See the Portfolio Page Template section of the Illustratr theme guide for relevant information and instructions.

    You may also add a menu item that is linked to the default portfolio page, https://livlovelit.wordpress.com/portfolio/.
