Linking portion of header image to somewhere other than homepage
-
Hello, my website (tobychristie.com) runs with the Carmack theme.
As you can see the header currently is the logo for the website, but we have a presenting sponsor that is about to go into effect in the next week or so, and I was wondering if I uploaded a header logo image that was our website logo on the left half of the header image and the presenting sponsor logo on the right side, can we link the presenting sponsor half of the image to their website?
I know there is a way to have a transparent png that you can link and move to the header image, but is it possible to do that with one that is half the width of the header image? And if so, what would be the specific CSS coding needed for my theme?
Thanks so much in advance!

Here is what the new header logo image will look like:
I am attempting to have a transparent png that is linked to the sponsor (Ryno.co) on only the right side of the image. I would like the website logo portion of the header image to still link back to the homepage.

I also already have the transparent png file in the custom html widget at the top of the right sidebar of the site. Just need to know if it’s possible to move that image where it covers the right side of the header image.

Hi there,
The modification you want would involve modifying both the HTML and PHP code for that theme. It’s not possible with the use of CSS.
You would need to create a child theme before proceeding. Instructions on how to do that can be found here:

If you want further assistance with those modifications I recommend hiring a developer. You can find more information here:
