Linking self-hosted domain to WP.com
-
I’m a web developer completely flummoxed by WP. If I host my client’s website, I use WordPress.org, but how does she edit it? I have an account set up on WordPress.com, but how do I link to the hosted pages? Is WordPress.com just a front-end for files stores on my host? I’ve spent hours on documentation and I haven’t found anything that addresses this. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I hope this article will help you understand the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Thank you. I understand the different between .org & .com. What I don’t understand is how my client can edit her website, hosted on my host, via WordPress. WordPress.org has no editing capabilities, like .com has, but if she logs into .com, how will it know what website it’s referring to? How do I tie her account at .org to the site she needs to edit?
Thanks.

WordPress.org sites are editable through a dashboard on the site, just like a WordPress.com site. Please head over to WordPress.org for more info. You may want to read this article from the WordPress codex for more details.
